For only $5 this Saturday, you can get your car squeaky clean while supporting the Opportunity Center in its fundraising efforts. The Opportunity Center will host a car wash at the center from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. The center is located at 845 Amite Street, near the intersection of Capitol, Robinson, and Amite Streets.

The Opportunity Center is Jackson’s only daytime homeless shelter. Despite closing due to budgetary constraints in April 2010, the center reopened in November 2010 thanks to the generosity of anonymous donors.

Nevertheless, the fundraising must go on! If your car is in need of a wash, swing on by the Opportunity Center this Saturday. Hey, it’s only $5!
