Holiday Festival: Jackson State under the Stars
Jackson State University (JSU) invites the general public to a free holiday celebration. On Friday, December 14, 2012 from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm, please come out to the corner of John R. Lynch and Dalton Streets and enjoy the festivities. The indoor and outdoor activities (weather permitting) will include:
• Miniature train for rides around campus;
• Photos taken with Santa Claus and the JSU Tiger;
• Carols sung by Jim Hill High School Choir and ensemble led by Donavon Thigpen and Malcolm Sheperd; and
• Delicious holiday refreshments;
JSU Helping Hands will also distribute clothing and toys to pre-selected families in the West Jackson community (including students from Blackburn Middle School).
Remember to support our local businesses in the City of Jackson, West Jackson, and One University Place during the holiday season.
