Metro 24 Bowling Center, Now Open
Jackson residents, Gregory and Dorthy Green teamed up with their cousins from California, Saddit and Mia Green, and decided to renovate former Cotton Bowl Lanes on John R. Lynch Street. The new bowling alley opened at the end of April under its new name “Metro 24 Bowling Center.” The building has been vacant for about a year now leaving the West Jackson area without a fun form of entertainment. The full refurbished bowling alley features 24 lanes as before but also a restaurant, an arcade and an area to host parties and other activities. A room with pool tables is also in the works. Metro 24 Bowling Center’s hours are as follows: 4:00pm-10:00pm weekdays and 4:00pm-midnight weekends. They can be reached at 601-354-5738.
