Construction on the new Blackburn Middle School began in January 2010 and two years later the school was open for business. In January 2012, students moved into the newly constructed middle school which features twenty-four regular classrooms, five science labs, two technology labs, and administrative offices. Although the physical structure was complete, the outside amenities needed to be finished.

As of today, the Blackburn Middle School retaining wall, tennis courts, and outside lighting are complete. Blackburn Middle School is finishing up on its outdoor amenities and it looks amazing!
