Two Grand Openings, Today

Senator Sollie B. Norwood has opened the “Senate District 28 Office” on the lower level of the Metro Center Mall. They are hosting an open house of the new facility today from 2:00 pm-6:00 pm. One reason Senator Norwood opened his office in the mall was because he wants to be accessible to his constituents and he wants the public to know he has an open door policy. The office will be open M-F from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Go check it out!

Recycle Today, Tomorrow, and Forever in West Jackson!

The City of Jackson will be hosting a ribbon cutting ceremony today to open the Environmental Service Center in Jackson. They will accept paper, plastics, aluminum, and cardboard. They will also be open for household hazardous waste products, including paint, antifreeze, photographic chemicals, pesticides/insecticides, oil, lawn & garden chemicals, batteries, computers and accessories, etc…).
