Jim Hill Cheerleaders Compete in Nationals, Sunday
The Jim Hill High School cheerleaders competed at the Mid-South Regional Cheer-leading Competition in Southaven, Mississippi, where they came in 3rd place and earned a bid to the national competition in Orlando, Florida. The National High School Cheer-leading Championship (NHSCC) is the most prestigious cheer-leading championship in the country. The NHSCC is held at the Walt Disney World® Resort in Orlando, Florida, and nationally televised on ESPN and ESPN2 to over 100 million homes and 32 countries nationwide each year.
Tamika Harris is the coach and this is her second year coaching. Over the past few months they have been fund raising to compete and through their many efforts they were able to raise over $13,000 dollars to send all 24 girls to Orlando.
The 2014 Championship will be held February 8th through 9th. They are scheduled to compete on Sunday, February 9th at 7:20 p.m. Below is the order of competition (click on image to view larger).
