Health Fair, Listening Tour, & Town Hall, Today
One Fit JSU will be hosting a Community Health Fair at Blackburn Middle School on Thursday, October 30 from 8:30 am-12 pm. It will be held in the gym of Blackburn Middle School and will feature health care vendors, fitness demos, and health assessments. The event is free and open to the community.

Later in the evening, Mayor Tony Yarber will be hosting his “We Are Jackson Listening Tour,” at Lynch Street CME Church starting at 6:00 pm. The theme will be focused on infrastructure.
Lynch Street CME Church is located at 2175 J. R. Lynch Street.
Finally, One Voice invites you to its “Emerging Thinkers on Community Development Town Hall Meeting” on Thursday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The Town Hall will take place in Central United Methodist Church located at 500 North Farish Street.
This town hall meeting will discuss the possibilities related to community development from emerging thinkers as well as hear a presentation from the Jackson Redevelopment Authority. Community advocate, Cassandra Welchlin will serve as moderator for the town hall meeting. This town hall is a part of the Mississippi Black Leadership Summit.
