Every summer, more than 1,700 eager young minds attend one of the 50 summer camps offered at Jackson State University. From ages 4 to 18, Jackson State offers camps that engage youth in academics, science, athletics, art and other popular programs. Now is the time to think about what activities are best for your child during the summer, and where more interest can be explored.
– Academic and art camps for K-12
– Academic and art camps for incoming freshmen/undergraduates
– STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) programs
– Sport-specific camps
– Professional development camps for adults.
Imagine your child taking theater, dance, choral studies, or learning the legal system at “law camp,” or baseball, volleyball or football. There’s even a weather camp for budding meteorologists.
For young scientists, there are camps on physical science, earth science, and space science. And there are social subjects, such as learning about the civil rights movement. Or learn from the famous Sonic Boom of the South what it takes to be a part of the “Summa Cum Laude of Bands!”
