JSU Launches Bike Share Program
Jackson State University launched its first Bike Share Program this week. The Bike Share Program is a convenient way for students, faculty, and community residents to get around. Anyone can rent a bike as long as you are 18 years or older.
Currently there is one location you can rent a bike from and that is at the Walter Payton Center. However, over the next few months there will be a total of three locations to rent a bike, which include the JSU Student Center and the Plaza in front of the Jacob Reddix Building.
Initially you will have to fill out a rider registration form.
The bikes come equip with
-Adjustable seat heights
-Front and rear lights at night
-Locking system
-Baskets
-7 gears of shifting that lets you ride anywhere
Renting a bike from JSU is also affordable. Anytime you rent a bike for less than two hours it is free. For three or more hours, it is $3.00 dollars an hour and you can rent the bike for an entire day for $24.00 dollars.
