2015 Day of Service, Huge Success
This past Saturday, hundreds of volunteers gathered at the Metrocenter Mall for the 2015 Day of Service project. The Day of Service is a large-scale volunteer project spear-headed by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in conjunction with other organizations.
This year they helped through out the metro area, but sent over 100 volunteers to the Jackson Zoo. Volunteers, young and old, helped lay mulch in the kid zone area, cut down weeds in the rhino pen area, and painted retaining walls through out the zoo.
Other projects included cleans up at Lefluer’s Bluff and Rosehaven.
