Pecan Park Neighborhood Association will host its annual National Night Out Celebration on Monday, October 5th, at 1053 Arbor Vista Blvd. The event will take place from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. They are encouraging anyone who works or lives between Pecan Blvd, Robinson, Prentiss and Lynch Street, to join them in the festivities.

Elderly persons needing a ride or escort service can call 601-969-1210 before Monday, October 5th.

On Tuesday, October 6th, Washington Addition will host their National Night Out celebration. It will be held at 1233 Booker Street at 6:00 pm.

There will be a free movie screening of the James Brown movie, “Get On Up.” They encourage all neighbors to bring lawn chairs.

Gowdy Association of Neighbors/Washington Addition Neighborhood Association is a non-profit organization and they will be funding raising at this event to help restore the neighborhood community house.
