October Fest Photos, Second Little Free Library

This past Saturday, hundreds of community residents showed up for the Annual Jayne Avenue October Fest. The event was held from Noon until 5:00 pm and featured music, food, books, and the unveiling of the second Little Free Library in West Jackson.

The Center for University-Based Development (CUBD) sponsored the Little Free Library for Jayne Avenue Neighborhood. CUBD commissioned Patty Patterson to build the structure. The structure is located in Zakiya Summers’ yard and she wanted it to resemble a dog. The children loved the Little Free Library and walked away with several books.
