Hello West Jackson! We hope everyone is having a good year so far. Over the next couple of weeks the West Jackson Blog will be under construction. We are updating the look and feel of the website to better represent the purpose of the blog. Our purpose from the very beginning was to highlight all the positive work happening in West Jackson and to tell our story. The updated look will feature a scrolling screen that will feature multiple stories at a time. It will also feature each neighborhood in West Jackson, showcasing their history, boundaries and pictures.

The reason for the update is because last year we had record numbers to our website. In 2014, there were 24,203 hits to the site and in 2015 that number rose to 36,546 hits. This represents a 50 percent increase of traffic to the site. As of now between the blog, facebook, and twitter we have over 5,000 followers!

The new site will better showcase our community. Thank you for following, sending stories, and events to be featured on the site. Please bare with us for the next two weeks as we switch over.
