Taste of West Jackson, Saturday
This summer, Common Ground Covenant Church has been hosting a Community Night at Claiborne Park and it featured live bands, free food, and family friendly games. On Saturday, September 10th, they will be hosting the first “Taste of West Jackson” event from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm at Claiborne Park. The event is free and open to the public and will feature many samplings from local West Jackson Restaurants.
The event is called the “Taste of West Jackson” and the food will be judged by Chef Nick Wallace and Chef Lee Harper.

There will be awards in the form of plaques for Crowd Favorite and the Judge’s Favorite.
During the event the stage program will consist of local music acts including Jason Gibson, Acelia Quinn, Chad Perry, Smooth Funk, Jalise Haney, and Ralo Powell. There will also be plenty of things for children to participate in, such as space jumps and face-painting.
