JSU Homecoming Parade in West Jackson, October 29th
In case you haven’t heard, the JSU Tigers are taking over and establishing a “A Blue World Order” at the Jackson State University’s Homecoming Parade on Saturday, October 29, 2016. This year’s homecoming theme is “Tiger Takeover: A Blue World Order.”
The Parade will begin 8:00 a.m. The start point for the parade is at the roundabout of Prentiss and Dr. Robert Smith Sr. Parkway and travel east to the roundabout just before Gallatin Street, continue through the roundabout and merge onto John R. Lynch Street. The parade will continue west towards Dalton Street and end at the corner of Dalton and John R. Lynch.
Parade line-up will begin at 6:00 a.m. All participants should be in place by 7:45 a.m.; no participants will be allowed to enter the line-up after 7:45 a.m..
Please be aware that a number of street closures will be necessary.
Following the parade, the JSU Tigers take on the Panthers of Prairie View at 2 p.m. at Mississippi Veterans Memorial Stadium. Football tickets can be purchased from the Department of Athletics; call 601-979-2420 for information.
