Lynch Street Cultural Arts Festival, Saturday

Lynch Street Cultural Arts Festival will take place this Friday and Saturday, April 28th and 29th.

The annual Lynch Street Cultural Arts Banquet and Festival is the major fundraiser for the West Jackson Community Development Corporation. It was started in 1992 to celebrate the rich history and tradition of Lynch Street as a major center for business and industry in the early 1900’s.

Each year hundreds of festival goers participate in the two day event which begins with a cabaret style banquet on the last Friday in April and culminates with a free outdoor festival the next day.

The musical headliner will be TK Soul with additional performances by Dr. D, Rick Lawson, High Frequency, Equanya, Pop 2-Extreme and many more.

Good morning! as an active participant in this Festival I am really disappointed that there was little or no publicity for the even this year and once learned that is was taking place it was close to be over. That is really say and when the local radio station 99Jams personalities have no knowledge and WKXI that I listen to daily did not have the information to post-it makes you think it was just announced in certain areas- NOTGOODAT ALL

  3. I hear ya!!! That is one of the reasons we created the WJ Blog, because we wanted to be able to promote our own events, in case they were not covered in other media outlets. I heard great things about the festival and that performers were great and there was a good crowd. Thanks for your comments.
