Keep Jackson Beautiful & AmeriCorps Help Cleanup

In a collaborative effort between Keep Jackson Beautiful, Spectrum CDC, and AmeriCorps NCCC members, they are leading a cleanup and elimination of blight initiative. The cleanup began yesterday in the Washington Addition neighborhood and they concentrated their efforts around Isable Elementary School.

The clean up effort will continue through December 15, 2017. They will also target the areas around Barr Elementary and Lake Elementary.

There are still opportunities to volunteer and get community service hours. They need volunteers with lawn mowers, shovels, rakes, weed-eaters, etc. to work along with NCCC members.

They need your help! To volunteer or learn more about this wonderful project, please email Ms. Alicia Crudup at keepjacksonbeautiful@gmail.com.

Pictures of the work from this week are below.
