JSU Crop Drop, Today

On Saturday, August 18, JSU will host its bi-annual Crop Drop event from 9:00 a.m. to Noon at the Lee E. Williams Athletic and Assembly Center.

The event will feature 20,000 pounds of free sweet potatoes, live cooking demonstrations from celebrity chef Nick Wallace, and learn how to build a container garden with local community resident Patty Patterson.

JSU students will be on site to bag the sweet potatoes and place them your car.

The event will also feature free health screenings with UMMC’s mobile unit and live juicing demonstrations.

Please note that no food will be given out before 9:00 a.m. and the event as moved to the AAC to accommodate more people.
