Atmos Energy Maintains Flower Garden
Atmos Energy recently invested in the Jackson Zoo by upgrading the flower bed on the corner of Capitol Street and Ellis Avenue. Over the past several months the bushes had over grown and completely covered the Jackson Zoo sign on that corner.
Atmos takes pride in providing quality service, but they also want to give back to the community. Linda Waters, manager of Public Affairs with Atmos said, “Leadership decided to invest in this project because it will have a long lasting effect and it is pleasing to the eye.”
They contracted with Green Oaks to maintain the flower bed and replant several flowers and shrubs that are low maintenance. Since the flower bed has been revamped, the Jackson Zoo sign is visible and inviting.
This project is in collaboration with the Zoo Area Progressive Partnership (ZAPP), Atmos Energy, and the Jackson Zoo.
