Chef Nick Wallace Gives Back to his Middle School, Blackburn

Chef Nick Wallace is giving back to the middle school he graduated from by volunteering his time to show students how to cook healthy greens.

In preparation for Blackburn’s 1st Annual Greens Cook-off, Nick Wallace wanted to show middle school students a healthy way to cook greens.  He brought his 60 year old wok and demonstrated a fast, healthy way to cook greens and the students loved it.  Chef Wallace will be one of the celebrity judges to taste the pots of greens being prepared by Blackburn Middle School students.

The greens cook-off will be held Friday, November 14, 2018 at Blackburn Middle School at 1:00 pm. The Blackburn Middle School Learning Garden and the Greens Cook-Off is a collaboration between JSU, Blackburn Middle School, Repurposed Projects, All About the W, and a Partnership for a Healthy Mississippi.
