Pictures from 1st Annual Blackburn Middle School Greens Cook-Off

Here are the pictures from the 1st Annual Blackburn Middle School Greens Cook-off.  The event was held last Friday at Blackburn.  Over the past few months students from Blackburn planted, watered, and harvested collard greens in the learning garden.  The Greens Cook-off was their opportunity to finish the gardening cycle, by cooking what they grew.  Students worked with their parents and grandparents to develop a recipe for the competition.  Ultimately, Moe Salassie won first place with his raw collard greens salad and dressing.  Check out all the photos below.
