JSU Community Properties Sell Meeting, May 21

Senate Bill 2681 was recently passed that gives Jackson State University the ability to sell 134 pieces of property around the University. The Center for University-Based Development (CUBD) at JSU will be hosting a public meeting on Tuesday, May 21 at 6:00 pm at Davis Temple Church located at 1700 Dalton Street.

According to the bill, JSU can only sell property to homeowners in the community. The right of first refusal for the purchase of property will be given to an adjacent homeowner sharing a common boundary with subject parcel, then to any homeowner residing on the same street or block or within in twenty-five one hundredths square mile of the subject parcel.
