Several Groups Assist Jackson Zoo with Sprucing Up

Several groups helped out the Jackson Zoo this past Saturday by helping with landscaping work. Volunteers helped rake, sweep, plant, and power washed entry ways in the Jackson Zoo.

There are three more Saturday’s planned to volunteer at the Jackson Zoo: October 12, November 9, and December 7 are scheduled for volunteers to help from 8:00 am to 11:00 am.

Groups that assisted this past Saturday include: Hinds Community College, Forest Hill High School, Obama Magnet, Pecan Park Elementary, Timberlawn, Country Club, Queens, Sub1, West Central Jackson, Pecan Tree Park, Keep Jackson Beautiful, Stewpot, Zoo Area Progressive Partnership, and JSU.

    So happy to know the schools,the public businesses, and citizens of Jackson are coming to together for this great cause in keeping the Jackson Zoo presentable for the public. Great job guys.
