JSU Preschool Gets New Playground from Home Depot Grant
With your votes, JSU recently won $50,000 through The Home Depot Retool Your School Campus Improvement Grant. With the assistance from The Home Depot in Clinton, Mississippi, the two amphitheaters located on campus were cleaned, painted, and received concrete repairs. Charging stations, Bluetooth speakers and additional lighting will be added to both amphitheaters that are largely used for student events throughout the year.
Additionally, the Lottie Thornton Educational Center, located in the College of Education received new playground equipment through the campus improvement grant as well. The educational center provides childcare services for faculty, students and the general community.
