Heather Ivory has lived in West Jackson for 20 years and she is a life long Jackson/Hinds County resident. She graduated from Belhaven University and worked at Stewpot for over 20 years. Heather has a beautiful daughter named Brooklin and she is 8 years old and attends Pecan Park Elementary School.
Currently, Heather is the Executive Director of Keep Jackson Beautiful and is leading the way for a cleaner city. The mission of Keep Jackson Beautiful is to inspire good things in the community everyday. They are focusing on areas around schools, gateways into communities, and liter prevention.
In addition to her role at Keep Jackson Beautiful, she is also a long time member of the Zoo Area Progressive Partnership (ZAPP). She currently holds the position of President of ZAPP and is leading efforts to support the Jackson Zoo. One project spearheaded by Heather is the “I Support Our Jackson Zoo” neighborhood sign project. These signs are available to anyone that supports the Jackson Zoo.
