You are invited to participate in The Fertile Ground Project Mural Series Competition! The series is a collection of murals that creatively discuss the challenges and opportunities within our food system.

They are prompting artists to explore the theme of Jackson as a “fertile ground” for seeding new ideas and imagining what a sustainable food future can be. There are a total of seven mural projects located in different communities across the city. Three of the murals have been completed, Fertile Ground is seeking new artists for the next four murals.

The mural series is an annual event that will continue to add murals across the city. The Fertile Ground Project is made possible by Bloomberg Philanthropies’ Public Art Challenge.
