Jim Hill Standing Tall Program, Wednesday

JSU’s Office of Community Engagement received a “Reflecting Mississippi” grant from the Mississippi Humanities Council in support of the program, “Jim Hill Still Standing; An Exhibition of the Life of James ‘Jim’ Hill.” The program is scheduled for Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. in the auditorium of Jim Hill High School, located at 2185 Coach Fred Harris Drive in Jackson, MS.

We would love for you to join us for this exciting and educational event. James ‘Jim’ Hill was a stoic man that garnered support from a vast array of politicians, voters, and community residents. He was elected as Secretary of State for the state of Mississippi from 1874 to 1878. This program will feature Hill’s triumph, an Art & Poem contest, and performances from Jim Hill High School students.

The event is free and open to the public. Please RSVP at 601-979-5828 or by email at heather.a.denne@jsums.edu.
