You are invited to the 1st WestJXN PorchFest! Fun, Music and Food!

The free family-friendly neighborhood celebration of local musical talent and West Jackson businesses will be held on Sunday, October 28, 2018, from 4 to 6 pm at 1225 Robinson Road (corner of Robinson and Roseneath Street). Please bring your lawn chairs, enjoy the music, and get to know your neighbors.

We will kick off the event at 4 pm with music from DJ Expo. Food for purchase will be available from Steamer’s Shrimp and Crab Market, Norma Ruth’s, Sherria’s Chicken Coop, and OhhLaLa’s Bakery. Starting at 5 pm, Southern Komfort Brass Band will be the final act.

PorchFests are held all over the country. West Jackson is the first neighborhood to host one in Jackson, Mississippi. The purpose is two-fold: neighborhood engagement and turning the historic front porches of West Jackson into “stages for a day.” Once a month, we will showcase the very best of the West Jackson neighborhood and “unify the community one porch at a time.” Like our Facebook page and stay tuned for the next location.
