Fun for families this Saturday

Have children under 5 (or expecting children) and looking for something to do with the family this Saturday? JSU’s Human Capital Development Division will host a fun event just for families this weekend. The event will feature free food and performances that include a storyteller and magician for the kiddos.

For the parents, you can enter to win giveaways such as a free desktop computer. And while you’re winning, your children can be enjoying the face painting, games, and arts & crafts that will be available at the event.

A DJ will be present to make sure you feel like dancing (or at least bobbing your head), and a number of organizations–such as Teach & Roll, Voice of Calvary, United Way, MS Public Broadcasting, Jackson Fire & Police departments, Mississippi Learning Institute, and HPERD–will be there to provide you with useful information that can be of benefit to you and your family.

So bring the family out and commence to having fun! The event will take place from 2:00-4:30 p.m. on Saturday, August 27 at the T.B. Ellis Gym on Dalton Street.
