Last year, Voice of Calvary Ministries received a grant through the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Disaster Relief funds. The boundaries for the West Jackson Plan were set by the funding agency and are bounded by Fortification to the North, Gallatin Street to the East, Highway 80 to the South and Ellis Avenue to the West. Voice of Calvary Ministries contracted with Duvall Decker Architects to take the lead with planning and researching for the designated area. After a year of working on the plan, Duvall Decker Architects will be unveiling the plan to the community on Tuesday, August 19th, at 6:00 pm. at Voice of Calvary.

The purpose of the West Jackson Plan is to serve as a guidebook that empowers residents and stakeholders to invest in sustainable and inclusive social, physical and economic development within the community.
