Center for University-Based Development & WJ Neighborhoods Spread Holiday Cheer

canned final1

Tis the Season of Giving! Over the past month the Center for University-Based Development (CUBD) along with the 13 neighborhood associations that surround JSU, worked together to collect food and toys for West Jackson families. Each neighborhood association nominated two families to receive gift boxes. In total there were 17 families nominated to receive gift boxes. Families varied in size and number and the staff at CUBD worked closely with each neighborhood to provide their families with items they needed. The items were donated from residents in West Jackson.

Once all the items were collected they were divided among each family. After all the gift boxes were put together, then the staff at CUBD went to the homes of the families along with each Neighborhood Association President. All the receiving families were extremely happy to be nominated and were very thankful for the gift box.
