Dozens of West Jackson community residents gathered at 1433 Grand Avenue to celebrate and have a good time on Friday, September 18th. Above are the pictures from the event and we want to thank Anissa Hidouk, a JSU student, for taking wonderful photos.

This gathering was to engage residents in thought provoking ways and to inform them about the West Jackson Guidebook. There were several interactive stations for residents that included the Zoo Mobile, Keep Jackson Beautiful and a performance by the Purple Diamonds.

One of the highlights of the evening was Rev. Willie Lyons and Mrs. Betty Lyons performing. They sang and played the electric guitar for live entertainment. Below is a video of part of their performance.
