Training for Jobs, Employment Oppurtunities

Below are the dates and times for Interest Sessions that will inform those desiring to apply for training for living wage jobs. These sessions are organized by Jackson 500, the partnership between Working Together Jackson, the City of Jackson and Hinds Community College.

To apply you do not need a GED or a High School Diploma and generous financial support is available for Jackson Residents wanting to learn skills for jobs with living wages, a career path and benefits.

The Orientation and Registration times are also listed below.

January Class Recruitment Schedule

Interest Sessions

Tuesday, November 17th, 6:30 p.m., New Horizon Church International, 1770 Ellis Ave.

Thursday, November 19th, 10 a.m., Stewpot Community Services, 1100 West Capitol

Thursday, November 19th, 6 p.m., Prosperity Center of Greater Jackson, 329 Adelle St.
(There may be one other session scheduled.)

Orientation Registration Schedule

Day Class Orientation: Monday-Thursday, November 30th through December 3rd, 8:30 to 3 p.m. Monday through Wednesday and 8:45 to Noon on Thursday
Raymond Campus Gibbs Hall

Night Class Orientation: Monday-Tuesday, Dec. 7th -8th, and Monday-Tuesday, Dec. 14th-15th, Times to be announced.
