6th Annual Juneteenth Celebration at Battlefield Park, Saturday

Juneteenth, which is a state holiday in over 40 states, is the oldest known celebration commemorating the ending of slavery in the United States. Juneteenth Jackson has been hosting the Premier Juneteenth event of the Capital city for six consecutive years and has recently partnered with the City of Jackson with the goal to host the best Juneteenth Festival in the state of Mississippi and the Southeast region of the United States. This year theme is “Love and Unity Will Bind All Communities”.

The Juneteenth Festival will highlight local businesses, vendors, non- profits and other organizations dedicated to enriching the community as well as local and national talent all in a family friendly, safe environment filled with good food, fun, family and entertainment

This exciting festival will be held Saturday, June 18, 2016 from 1:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Battle Field Park, 953 Porter Street. Jackson, Mississippi.
