Crop Drop, April 10

On Tuesday, April 10 from 9:00 am to Noon, the Center for University-Based Development at Jackson State University will be hosting its semi-annual Crop Drop event in front of Blackburn Middle School.

JSU will be giving away 20,000 pounds of sweet potatoes to those in need for free. The community will drive up and the potatoes will be placed in their car by JSU students.

JSU will give out one bag of sweet potatoes per person. This is a first come, first serve event. In case of rain, the event will be postponed.

For more information or to volunteer please call 601-979-5828 or email heather.a.wilcox@jsums.edu.

The event is sponsored in part by the Society of St. Andrew.
