Student-Led Farmers Market, May 19

The JSU/Blackburn Student-Led Farmers Market is set for Friday, May 19 from 10 am to 2pm.

We want everyone to walk/drive by and purchase items from the students at Blackburn.

Students have been growing veggies this spring and this is their opportunity to sell them to the community.

Students are learning the following skills

  • Growing veggies
  • Marketing
  • Counting back change
  • Customer Service
  • Savings
  • Giving a portion of the proceeds to charity.

Please support our middle school scholars.

  1. Great and awesome opportunity for students to learn, play and grow! The skills they learn in this event offers real life experience in working with the public, using their math and reading subjects as well! Kudos go out everyone involved !

This is an excellent opportunity for students to learn how to eat healthy and learn about entrepreneurship. Do your website post future dates for the market?
