Taste of West Jackson, September 30

John Perkins, also known as “Big John,” lead pastor of Common Ground Covenant Church,
started Taste of West Jackson back in 2016. The festival continued for four years, amassing
more than 1,000 attendees annually. It featured the best of the best in food and music, and
celebrated the economic and community development happening all across the West
Jackson community.

The Refill Jackson Initiative is reviving the Taste of West Jackson on Saturday, September 30, 2023. We invite you to help us continue this legacy and be a part of this incredible event.

The 2023 Taste of West Jackson will serve as a family-centered event, showcasing the many
assets and attributes of West Jackson while raising funds to support Refill Jackson Initiative,
featuring:
● Taste of the Food: local food businesses participating in the Taste Competition and
selling their delicious eats
● Taste of the Arts: local visual, musical, and dramatic artists putting on a show
● Taste of Business: promoting for-profit and non-profit vendors
● Taste of Fun: Boys & Girls Club of Central MS will create a village just for the kiddos

You are a valued asset in our community, and it would be an honor to have your support
and participation. Please complete the online form at this link to participate.
