Gowdy/Washington Addition Launches Website
Over the past year, Washington Addition has been working on developing oral histories and a video showcasing their historic community. The website is completed and includes the oral history book, survey of neighborhood, and a video highlighting the historic neighborhood is complete.

The Gowdy/Washington Addition Exhibition, book, survey, and website was funded in part by the Historically Black Colleges & University grant from the Historic Preservation Fund administered by the National Park Service, Department of the Interior. Grant funds were secured by the JSU’s Office of Community Engagement.
