Photos from Student-Led Farmer’s Market
On Friday, May 17 students from Blackburn Middle School sold fresh produce to the community. They grew most of the produce over the last three months. Student’s were able to keep the proceeds from the market and learn about entrepreneurship.
Soul City Solar and United Way of the Capital Area donated $10,000 each to help with programming, maintenance and supplies for the garden. JSU Office of Community Engagement also received a grant from the EPA to help with the water expenses for the garden. Pictures are below.
