Gardening Club Hosts Paint and Plant Day

In the Alexander Center lobby, the JSU Gardening Club and the Office of Community Engagement hosted a Plant and Paint event on Monday. This event organized to get students signed up for  gardening club and introduce students to gardening.

Students received a pot, soil, paint, and a seed, allowing them to paint their pot in any style that reflects their personality. Afterward, they planted their seeds of lavender, symbolizing growth and creativity.

With donations from Capital Area United Way and Home Depot’s Retool Your School, students were able to learn about the importance of fresh produce and growing their own food.
