For 34 years, JSU’s Metro Jackson Community Prevention Coalition hosts an annual End of the Year Celebration. During this time they reflect on the positive impact they are making in the community. They also distribute community awards to individuals who have positively impacted the community.

The Thomas J. Bennett Honor, Courage and Commitment Director’s Award was presented to Velesha P. Williams for her outstanding commitment and leadership to MJCPC.

The Community Engagement Awards were presented to Brooklin Logan and Heather Logan for their commitment to West Jackson and the Jackson Zoo. Brooklin is the youngest person to receive this award
