JSU Completes Repairs of 46 Mausoleums in Mt. Olive Cemetery

During the fall of 2026, JSU’s Office of Community Engagement contracted with Richard Grubb and Associates to repair and conserve 46 mausoleums. The conservation project was part of a National Park Service (NPS) Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) grant.

The report presents the treatment protocols, as well as photographic documentation of conditions before and after conservation.

JSU also worked with Patty Patterson to reinforce existing pathways and landscaping efforts.
